About the Role

As a Business/Functional Analyst, you will join YPTO’s AnalySD team within the “Commercial Channels & Products” domain, the IT partner of SNCB/NMBS Marketing & Sales. You support the digital ecosystem behind all commercial channels, including the website, mobile app, ticket vending machines, cash desks, onboard sales, and B2B platforms.

You will take part in the full project lifecycle—requirements gathering, feasibility analysis, functional design, and user acceptance testing—ensuring our solutions deliver value and improve the customer experience. You also challenge and guide business stakeholders to help define optimal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document business needs, processes, and objectives.

  • Translate requirements into functional specifications and user stories.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to align technical solutions with business goals.

  • Support test planning, UAT execution, and defect resolution.

  • Safeguard solution architecture and coordinate with architects.

  • Identify bottlenecks and propose improvements.

  • Present functional designs, test scenarios, and documentation to stakeholders.

Requirements

Hard Skills

  • 7+ years as a business/functional analyst.

  • Strong requirements-gathering and business analysis skills.

  • Fluent in French or Dutch + English.

  • Solid understanding of SDLC and system design principles.

  • 5+ years experience with BPMN/UML and working in SAFe/Agile environments.

  • Knowledge of SQL, APIs, and basic programming is a plus.

  • Experience with public transport, e-commerce, mobile/web development (Sitecore is a plus).

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management.

  • Customer-focused, detail-oriented, and adaptable.

  • Ability to lead discussions and present to technical and non-technical audiences.
