How do you help make a difference?  
As a Young Graduate Junior Performance Tester, you contribute to the validation and qualification of application performance across SNCB/NMBS systems and services. You support performance testing activities by preparing, executing and analysing performance test campaigns, helping ensure that applications meet Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs). You work with performance testing environments, test datasets, APIs, databases and monitoring tools while collaborating with delivery teams during testing and production validation activities. 

What is your role at Ypto? 

As a Junior Performance Tester, you will take on the following responsibilities: 

  • You contribute to the preparation, execution and validation of performance testing activities, including Load Testing, Stress Testing, Endurance Testing and Scalability Testing campaigns. 

  • You prepare and execute performance test scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements, realistic user profiles, workload distributions and workload models. 

  • You build, maintain and execute performance test scripts and testing assets using Gatling and contribute to CI/CD integration activities. 

  • You participate in the preparation and validation of performance test environments, including verification of test accounts, configuration data, connectivity and deployment readiness. 

  • You monitor application behaviour during test execution, collect performance metrics and produce preliminary analysis reports to support bottleneck identification. 

  • You support production validation and performance qualification activities and collaborate through source control platforms such as Git or Bitbucket. 

Requirements

Why is this job a good fit for you? 

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology. 

  • You have less than 2 years of professional experience. 

You also possess these technical skills: 

  • You have a basic understanding of APIs and web services (REST, SOAP).

  • You have basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

  • You are interested in software testing and application performance.

  • You are familiar with performance testing concepts such as Load Testing and Stress Testing.

  • You can analyse test results and identify potential performance issues.

  • You are willing to learn performance testing tools such as Gatling.

  • You are familiar with version control tools such as Git.

  • You have a basic understanding of CI/CD and modern software development practices.

And these soft skills: 

  • You demonstrate strong analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset. 

  • You show curiosity, willingness to learn and a continuous improvement mindset. 

  • You communicate clearly and work effectively as a team player. 

  • You pay close attention to detail. 

Asset: 

• You have clear, structured communication skills in English (reading, writing and understanding). 
• You have professional proficiency in French or Dutch. 
• You are available to work in a hybrid model with at least 2 days onsite per week.
