Application Owner
As Application Owner, you will be part of a team implementing and managing applications based on ServiceNow technology. The team comprises of other Application Owners, Functional and Technical Specialists, Project Managers, ...
As an Application Owner, you are end-to-end responsible for managing a portfolio of NMBS applications. You also lead in the implementation of new applications and improvements on the existing applications.
You will focus on certain of the Applications developed and supported in the ServiceNow team, a.o. in the domains of applications for Strategic Portfolio Management and Cybersecurity.
A training and coaching program will be foreseen with regards to adoption of the mentioned responsibilities and activities, taking into account prior knowledge or experience.
Your role and responsibilities:
Application lifecycle ownership:
· Together with your internal customer stakeholders, prepare a roadmap for your applications. Align with your colleagues and contribute to the overall platform roadmap
· Drive the implementation of this roadmap
· Challenge, co-develop, influence and guide stakeholders on the opportunities the platform or product offers and how needs can be met. In order to do so you follow the evolutions of the technology offered by ServiceNow vendor.
· Promote usage of standard ServiceNow functionalities in order to maximize benefit of product use for the customer whilst preserving platform health
· Determining the impact of possible upgrades & drawing up an implementation plan to carry out such upgrades
· Ownership for the end-to-end performance, stability and user-friendliness for your applications. You act as the escalation point for our support teams on incidents, problems & requests concerning your applications.
Implementing major changes and projects:
· Drawing up “Business / User Requirement Specifications” based on business requirements provided by the process owner or business / functional analyst
· Drawing up functional specifications for “enhancements” (changes to the existing solution) and checking these with the stakeholders involved
· Inventing and implementing integration solutions (interfacing) with other applications, such as SAP, monitoring applications and other possible tooling
· Determining the impact of process changes requested by the Business Stakeholders for your applications
· First point of contact for the developers during the development of those “enhancements”
· First point of contact for IT architects, integration or security specialists collaborating on delivery
· Providing functional support in ServiceNow to users and process owners within the organization
· Provide timely support for user inquiries and assist in resolution of production issues (fourth line)
· Perform system integration tests and manage / coordinate user acceptance tests
· Writing processes or user documentation, assist in user training
· Preparing for transition to production
· Hypercare after go-live
Profile
A completed Master's degree in a relevant field such as:
Engineering
Economics
Commercial Sciences
Finance
IT/Technology
Passion for technology.
Eagerness to learn and ambition.

Being able to work from the office at least 2 and on demand 5 days/week
A first working experience in IT, if possible in domain of IT Functional analysis.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to handle complexity and work in a large organisation.
Excellent time management and self organisation
Languages: English + at least one of Dutch/Frenc
