The IT Asset Management Specialist – End User & Mobile Devices will be responsible for the operational lifecycle management of end-user IT assets, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, monitors, smartwatches, peripherals, related software subscriptions and licences. The role focuses on ensuring accurate asset governance, lifecycle tracking, compliance, operational follow-up, and optimization of hardware and software assets used across the organization. The specialist will also support mobile device ecosystem management, including MDM-related licensing, asset inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, operational service ownership activities, and operational followup linked to mobile and endpoint services.
What is your role at SNCB?
• Manage the lifecycle of end-user IT assets, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, monitors, smartwatches and accessories
• Maintain accurate asset inventory records and ensure asset data quality within IT asset management tools and CMDB platforms
• Coordinate asset assignment, reassignment, return, replacement, and disposal processes
• Coordinate operational follow-up with external lifecycle and disposal partners for asset return, refurbishment, disposal, and reporting activities
• Support hardware refresh and lifecycle planning activities
• Monitor stock levels and asset availability in collaboration with operational and procurement teams
• Follow up operationally on mobile device and endpoint-related contracts and services.
• Support operational service ownership activities related to end-user and mobile device services, including coordination with vendors, operational follow-up, compliance tracking, and service continuity.
• Manage and monitor mobile device management (MDM) related licensing and subscriptions (e.g. Intune, Knox, mobile services)
• Support compliance and governance activities related to IT assets and software usage.
• Collaborate with vendors, procurement, logistics, and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery and operational continuity
• Support reporting activities related to asset lifecycle, inventory accuracy, compliance, and operational KPIs
• Participate in process improvement initiatives related to hardware asset management and endpoint governance
• Support and operationally follow smart device guidelines, standards, and governance processes for end-user and mobile environments
• Contribute to standardization and optimization of end-user hardware and mobile device portfolios.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Asset Management, Endpoint Management, Mobile Device Operations, or similar operational IT roles
• Experience with IT Asset Management (ITAM), Hardware Asset Management (HAM), or endpoint lifecycle management
• Familiarity with mobile device management platforms (Intune, Knox, Workspace ONE, etc.)
• Experience with CMDB or asset management tools
• Experience managing hardware lifecycle processes for end-user devices
• Experience with inventory management and operational asset follow-up
• Experience with MDM & Licensing
• Experience with Vendor & stakeholder Management
• Analytical skills and experience in reporting
• Strong organizational and asset administration skills
• Good understanding of IT asset lifecycle management principles
• Ability to manage and maintain accurate inventories and operational documentation
• Strong follow-up and coordination capabilities
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and operationally in a dynamic environment
• Understanding of endpoint and mobile device environments
• Experience working with hardware vendors, mobile operators, or IT procurement processes (a plus)
• Understanding of software and subscription lifecycle management linked to mobile/end-user environments (a plus)
• Dutch or French as a mother tongue or at least C level, the other language at least B2 level. For English at least level B2Top of FormBottom of Form
