Train managers:

Ypto provided train managers with ITRIS equipment that allows them to consult real-time information and to offer more payment options to train passengers.

During the implementation of the new departure procedure, train managers were also equipped with smartwatches with GPS. This device allows them to view the train’s arrival and departure times and to indicate when the train has actually left.

Train drivers:

In the framework of the eDrive project, train drivers were equipped with a tablet and a smartphone. The project allowed them to get their jobs done faster and more easily. For example, train drivers used to have to collect a paper form from the depot before they could start their trip. Thanks to the tablets and applications, they no longer have to spend time on this and everything can be done in compliance with covid-19 regulations. Moreover, this digitisation saves no less than 400 kg of paper every month!
