Within the Operations department, our Building IT Systems team is responsible, among other things, for monitoring NMBS construction sites in the field of building automation technologies and IT networks. We are looking for a new colleague who will oversee the sites for us in the areas of cabling, IT infrastructure, access control, parking systems, security, and other building automation systems.

Your tasks are as follows:

• You manage the rollout of several projects simultaneously from A to Z without losing oversight

• When problems arise, you actively look for solutions

• You know your site, visit your site, know the stakeholders, know who the point of contact is for each situation, know the plans and the planning, organize meetings, and know how to take action

• You are the first point of contact for the site managers and coordinate and guide the site efficiently in terms of cabling and installation

• You monitor the safety of the site

• You follow up on the planning and adjust where necessary

• Deadlines are met

• You ensure delivery, plan checks, and the as-built flow

• You lead and motivate the involved parties

• You closely monitor the work and have an eye for optimization

• You regularly inform the involved parties about the progress of the project

• You ensure the necessary reporting

Requirements

Technical Requirements

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in construction, electricity, or electronics, are an engineer, … or have equivalent experience

• You have sufficient knowledge in your field to abstract the technical content, with the aim of understanding what is realistic in terms of execution timelines, approving measurements, feasibility, and safety aspects

• You have strong organizational and planning skills

• You have experience with MS Office, MS Projects, dashboards, ticketing systems, etc.

• You are communicative and can express yourself fluently in Dutch and French

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role is required

• Experience in project follow-up is a must
