Ypto is seeking motivated Young Graduates eager to bridge the gap between IT and Business.
As the Configuration Manager, you will manage the lifecycle of the Configuration Items in the Configuration Management Database, in collaboration with the CI owners in the organisation.
IT Configuration Management is the process of systematically identifying, organizing, and maintaining information about the various components (or configuration items, CIs) of an information technology (IT) system.
You will act as the Process Owner for the IT Configuration Management Process and will support the roll-out and adoption of the process in the organisation.
You will build up knowledge around IT Service Management, the ITIL Framework and the usage of the ServiceNow; the platform used to enable IT Service & Configuration management at SNCB.
Your role and responsibilities
- Process Owner: you are the Process Owner for the Configuration Management Process. You update the process document, in alignment with related processes (ex. IT Change management) and create policies and procedures.
- As Process Owner you support the organization in adoption of the process through preparation and execution of trainings and supporting users with hands-on support where needed.
- As Process Owner you define KPI’s with regards to IT Configuration Management. You assure the set-up of appropriate reporting and follow-up with CI owners in the organization to maintain CI data in line with policies and procedures as defined. You enfoster a culture of data integrity and continuous improvement.
- As Process Owner you can explain the importance of IT Configuration Mgmt.
- You learn about the ServiceNow CSDM (Common Service Datamodel) and how it can be applied. After some time, you start to guide the organisation on application of the ServiceNow CSDM model and can support organization in correct application of it.
- As Process Owner you work closely with Process Owner of related processes (ex. IT Asset mgmt., IT Change mgmt., IT Incident mgmt.) to capture requirements on and usage of CMDB data.
- ServiceNow CMDB Management: you ensure CI’s get registered and updated according to defined policies.
- ServiceNow CMDB Management: you act as internal client for the CMDB implementation team of functional and technical ServiceNow specialists that will support you on the implementation of the required features on the ServiceNow platform (ex. On integrating CMDB data sources). You define requirements for the implementation team and collaborate with them on delivery (ex. On data mappings)
- CMDB Health and Maintenance – Ensure all CI’s are registered and maintained according to defined lifecycle and policies. You ensure appropriate data accuracy checks are implemented and followed-up.
- Reporting: You preside the IT Configuration Governance Board, involving all departments of organization owning CI’s, to report on IT configuration management status and seek alignment with involved departments.
- Documentation: You assure Configuration Mgmt. Documentation remains up-to-date
Exigences
- A completed Master's degree in a relevant field such as:
- Engineering
- Economics
- Commercial Sciences
- Finance
- IT/Technology
- Passion for technology.
- Eagerness to learn and ambition.
- Quick adaptability to new concepts.
- International mindset.
- Strong team player with the motto "Together everyone achieves more”.
- Being able to work from the office at least 2 and on demand 5 days/week
- A first working experience in IT, if possible in domain of IT Service Management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills
- Able to handle complexity and work in a large organisation
- Excellent time management and self organisation
- Languages: English + at least one of Dutch/French
