As NMBS- SNCB’s IT company, YPTO is part of the Belgian Railway family making sure that the Belgian railways continue to move forward and that train passengers can travel in a modern and sustainable way.
The recently approved NMBS-SNCB « Rail Vision 2040 » has the ambitious goal to make sure that more people, companies & organisations choose the train as their preferred mobility tool. Not to forget, after all, rail being the most climate-friendly mode of public transport compared to other modes of public transport today.
Next to that, in a world of modern and sustainable mobility, new services and applications using digital technology are being implemented. Leading to increased and better information and communication to rail passengers and rail crew. Setting up diverse channels for purchasing tickets, a better monitoring of assets and further increase automating operational processes. Ultimately improving efficiency and service offering.
An ambitious goal that we’re building and realizing: further digitalizing SNCB – NMBS, offering innovative solutions and enabling flexible services with a key focus on the end user.
Technical skills
Minimum 5+ years of development experience in Microsoft technologies, particularly in Microsoft .NET Core Web API
Minimum 3+ years of development experience in Blazor .NET
Expert level experience in C# is a MUST HAVE
Know-how about the modern Front-end application architecture approaches like micro-frontend
Handy with REST APIs designing and usage
Visual Studio 2022, Visual Studio Code
Strong working experience in MS SQL Server 2022+, Entity framework core and LINQ
Working knowledge of Jenkins, Azure DevOps
Solid understating of CI/CD pipelines and the philosophy behind of continous integration and delivery
Must be very handy with GIT commands, understanding of GitFlow is a must have
Experience in Public Transport Sector is big plus
Soft skills
Professional knowledge of English and fluent user of one of the local language French or Dutch
You review the code of other developers with the sense of contribution instead of inspection
You are able to lead and coach junior developers with different level of experience
You’re a team player and you like working with others
