Who we are?
- The SDCoE (Software Delivery Center of Excellence) is a centralized ITI4IT-team within the department Solution Delivery, ERP & Corporate Services.
- The team consists of dedicated people with a mission to streamline the Software Development Lifecycle, promote a standard way of working with regard to Software Development by supporting best practices for wide-scale adoption within the organization.
What do we do?
- Streamline the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle)
- In order to do so, a new tool was acquired to support and automate the SDLC.
- This tool had to cover all aspects of the SDLC (including i.e. Requirement Management, Test Case Management etc.) and be capable of handling various approaches within SDLC such as Waterfall, Agile (including Backlog Management, Sprint Planning, Defect Management etc.).
- In the end JIRA Premium Software (Cloud Version) was selected and rolled out within the organization through incremental releases to support both Enhancements & Projects.
- Promote a standard way of working with regard to Software Development
- We adhere to the principle: “Adopt over adapt”
- A standard flow was implemented within JIRA for both Enhancements & Projects
- A basic preconfigured setup for all as a starting point with yet enough flexibility within the set environment to enable handling the work within the uniqueness of each area/domain.
- Supporting Best Practices for wide-scale adoption within the organization
- Together with the other IT4IT-teams such as Platforms, UX & Testing Services, Solution Design & SAP Development, we identify requirements and Best Practices needed for long-term success of the SDCoE.
- We are developing a Quality Assurance Policy with a view to improving the consistency, predictability and efficiency of the IT projects and systems. We ensure that all individual parts of the Software Delivery Process work optimally.
