As a Technical Architect, your job is to understand complex platform solutions and make them simple for both technical and non-technical people. You guide the process, identify the important parts, spot risks, and help others make good decisions.
Your responsibilities:
- Your main job is to make sure that the product's structure is strong, clear to everyone, and can adapt to support the needs of the business.
- You lead technical discussions, make sure decisions are made carefully, and everyone understands the consequences.
- You act as a bridge between the main architects and the people who design and develop the technical parts of a project. You check the design and monitor its progress to make sure it is done correctly.
- Part of your job is to encourage your colleagues to share their knowledge.
- You need to look at project limits, find other options, reduce risks, and make changes if needed.
- You should keep everyone involved updated about any problems with the product's structure.
Vereisten
- You need a Master's degree in Informatics, Computer Science, or a similar subject, or the same level of experience.
- You should have at least 5 years of relevant experience as a software engineer or technical architect.
- You should know how to use Java/Spring, Node.js, and microservices.
- You need experience with web and mobile applications.
- You should understand modern ways of creating product structures and how to use them effectively.
- You should have wide knowledge about different technologies. This will help you to work well with experts and understand how a technology choice will affect the product structure. You should know about:
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Solutions that use the cloud
- Different database systems and ways to manage data
- Systems for sending messages and events
- How to connect systems and network concepts
- Different ways for systems to communicate with each other
- You should know about the problems when trying to make software secure and how to solve them.
- You need experience with testing how well a system performs.
- You should know about common practices in software engineering and ways to model a product structure.
- You should be eager to learn new things, share what you know, accept changes, and learn from past experiences.
- You should work well in a team and be open to feedback from your colleagues.
- You should be interested in designing products and enjoy creating high-quality digital products.
- You should be able to handle stress and adapt to changes in a fast-paced company.
- You should be able to communicate well, both in technical terms and in simple language. You need to be fluent in Dutch or French and English.
