As a Data & Analytics Data Engineer within the BI & Analytics team, you will work on projects for the NMBS Customer Service Directorate (B-CS). Your role will encompass responsibilities as a data engineer, developer, and functional analyst.
Key Responsibilities:
- Needs Assessment: Identify and document the reporting and dashboard requirements of NMBS.
- Technical Translation: Convert functional needs into detailed technical specifications for reporting purposes.
- Collaboration: Maintain regular contact with various departments and their representatives.
- Reporting Techniques: Provide input and suggestions on reporting techniques through mock-ups, Proof of Concepts (PoCs), and best practices.
- Validation: Validate reports and dashboards, whether developed independently or in collaboration with internal or external developers.
- Documentation: Document solutions and keep this documentation up-to-date.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Regularly coordinate with end-users and other stakeholders to develop and manage roadmaps (improvements, bugs, incidents).
- Expertise: Serve as the point of contact for colleagues and business stakeholders regarding the applications, reports, and dashboards you manage.
- Architectural Consistency: Ensure alignment with existing business and solution architecture, consulting with Enterprise, System, and Solution Architects as needed.
- Testing and Data Cleaning: Contribute to the development of test scenarios, functional testing, and data cleaning.
Vereisten
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a similar role (data engineer, developer, data scientist, etc.).
- Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Azure Analysis Services.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Databricks.
- Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of extracting SAP data to Azure.
- Advanced skills in PowerBI.
- Familiarity with various analytical techniques (use cases, scenario development, etc.).
- Sector Knowledge: Understanding of the public transport sector.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English, both spoken and written.
- Soft Skills:
