As an Application Owner, you are end-to-end responsible for the management of a portfolio of NMBS applications in terms of performance, stability, coherence, lifecycle and user-friendliness. You also participate in functional analyses within the same application portfolio.
You act as a subject matter expert for the applications within your portfolio (together with colleagues) and advise your IT colleagues and Business stakeholders. You ensure the knowledge and use of the applications.
Your main responsibilities are divided into two parts:
Support:
- Acts as an escalation point for incidents, problems, service requests within the application portfolio
- Handles functional escalations coming from first and second line support, actively supports operational teams in order to provide a quick and well-considered solution to incidents, problems, service requests and structural problems within the application portfolio
- Documents the solutions provided
- Provides the necessary support before, during and after product launch
Application Portfolio Management:
- Bears end-to-end responsibility for the management and monitoring of applications in the assigned application portfolio, continuously strives for the optimal functioning, continuity, lifecycle, availability of the applications and the integration with other applications
- Advises and consults with business process owners and IT management on the necessary projects to develop and realize the vision for the application portfolio, creates a consensus and actively bridges the gap between IT and the business end product
- Creates the work backlog for the application portfolio, determines the priorities based on the strategic roadmap, steers the realization of changes according to these priorities and this in collaboration with the business process owner
- Coordinates the realization of changes in sprints and releases and ensures the commitment of all resources necessary to complete this realization on time, within budget and with the agreed quality
- Acts as a point of contact for Business Process Owners and IT staff for the assigned application portfolio, maintains, where relevant and with respect for the applicable guidelines within the organization, contacts about new versions and releases with the suppliers involved in your portfolio
- Coordinates and carries out technical activities of operational events such as the publication of train schedules and related interfacing.
Vereisten
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position (functional or technical analyst, developer, ...) and within a support team
- Experience in supporting software packages
- Good user knowledge of computer packages, including MS Office, Sparx EA, ...
- Experience with databases is an advantage (SQL, Oracle)
- ITIL knowledge is a plus
- Any experience in the railway sector is a considerable advantage
- Good knowledge of English, Dutch and/or French
- Proactive, strong problem-solving and hands-on, organized
